Business Profile

Plumbing Heating Gas Servicing Maintenance THINGS WE DO...

We offer a wide range of services from simple gas certificates to full installations.

No job is too big or small, and most repairs are done on site in a quick and efficient time. We aim to give the customer not only a great quality service but also a great price.

Central Heating:

We understand that when your heating or hot water stops working, you will want them up and running as swiftly and cost effectively as possible.
It is vital to ensure your gas appliances work safely. In addition, the more effectively your system's working, the less energy you will use and the more money you will save. Plus you will be helping to do your part for the environment.

Gas:

Gas Safe Register has replaced CORGI in Great Britain and the Isle of Man. The register exists to protect you, your family and your property from dangerous gas work.
By law, anyone carrying out work on gas installations and appliances in your home must be on the Gas Safe Register. Be gas safe and always insist on a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Why do I need to use a Gase Safe registered engineer?

It's all about safety. If someone other than a Gas Safe registered engineer does the gas work in your home, you could be risking the safety of your family and your property. Incorrectly fitted, badly repaired or poorly maintained gas appliances are a major cause of carbon monoxide poisoning. They can also lead to gas leaks and potentially explosions.

How do I ensure that my engineer is qualified to carry out the work?

Engineers have a range of qualifications that allow them to carry out specific types of gas works. It is important to check what they are qualified to do before you employ them. You can find this information on the back of your engineers Gas Safe Register ID card. Gas Safe registered engineers are professionals and will be happy to show you their ID card.

Servicing:

Any appliance not serviced regularly could potentially produce carbon monoxide, which is a poisonous gas. Do not put the lives of yourselves, your family or pets at risk. Having your boiler regularly checked and serviced will prevent unnecessary problems and help to avoid the costs involved in emergency repairs.
As with anything, to book and pay for a boiler service, whilst your system appears to be working can seem like an unnecessary expense. However, an annual boiler service is the safe and cost efficient way to run your heating system and can have a number of helpful effects:

1. Significant increase to the life of the boiler.
2. Improves energy efficiency of the system.
3. Early diagnosis of potential problems.
4. Reduces energy costs.
5. Saves costly repairs.
6. Detection of fatal carbon monoxide leaks.

Those who neglect to regularly maintain boiler and central heating equipment will experience reduced efficiency and increased costs.
Regular maintenance can also extend component life. Most repairs could be avoided with regular maintenance. Heating system repairs typically run into hundreds of pounds, yet many people will only consider calling an engineer when the problem has developed. An annual boiler service and check up can mean we help you avoid an expensive repair job as well as reducing your yearly energy costs.
If you would like to benefit from a more efficient, more economical and most importantly, a safe heating system, please get in touch today for further information.

What a service consists of:

1. A visual check.
2. Boiler fired to identify any working faults.
3. Boiler casing removed to check all main boiler components. (burner, heat exchanger, main injector, spark/sensor probe).
4. Checks to ensure flue terminals are not obstructed and internal flue components are sealed properly.
5. Inside casing surfaces cleaned.
6. Boiler parts cleaned (if necessary).
6. Gas tightness test conducted to ensure there are no leaks.
7. Boiler casing put back and checked that it is properly sealed.
8. Paperwork completed and service record left.
